Full job description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including nursing homes, home community care, teaching hospitals, and critical care environments. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients while assisting with daily activities and medical needs.

Responsibilities

– Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
– Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
– Provide support in critical care settings, including ICU and Level I Trauma Centers.
– Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient care and observations.
– Offer specialized care for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
– Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans effectively.
– Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene protocols.
– Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care needs and progress.

Experience

– Previous experience in nursing homes or acute care settings is preferred but not required.
– Familiarity with medical documentation practices is beneficial.
– Experience working in critical care or teaching hospitals is a plus.
– Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic patient care techniques is essential.
– A compassionate approach to patient care, particularly for those with dementia or chronic conditions.
